Terms of Use

The short agreement between you and Clairo: what we deliver, what we do not promise, and what you may do with it.

Version 1.0 · in force since 2026-07-26

1. What Clairo is

Clairo does two things: it emails you an alert when a paid game becomes free to claim (Epic, Epic mobile, Steam, GOG and Amazon Luna) and it keeps an open catalogue on the site of what is free right now, of the subscription showcases and a per-store price search.

Everything is free. There is no paid plan, no advertising, no affiliate link and no donations. Clairo earns commission on nothing: every button goes straight to the official store.

2. Accepting these terms

Browsing the site is free and requires no acceptance. To receive the alerts, you tick the acceptance box on sign-up and confirm the address through the link that lands in your inbox. Without the box ticked, sign-up is refused; without the confirmation click, no alert is ever sent.

By ticking the box you declare that the address is yours and that you have read the Privacy Policy. Clairo records which version of these terms and of the policy you accepted, and when.

3. Limits Clairo never crosses

4. What you may and may not do

You may use Clairo freely, read the catalogue, share the links and follow the RSS feed. We only ask three things:

5. What we do not guarantee

Clairo is a free service, maintained by one person, that depends on third-party sources. We work hard to get it right, but the service is provided as is:

To the extent the law allows, Clairo is not liable for indirect loss arising from an alert that did not arrive, a deadline the store changed or a promotion that ended early. Nothing here removes the rights your country's law grants you as a consumer — in Brazil, the Consumer Protection Code.

6. Stores, brands and third-party content

Epic Games, Steam, GOG, Xbox, PlayStation, Apple, Google, Amazon, Netflix and the other brands mentioned belong to their owners. Clairo is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them. Artwork, titles and ratings belong to the source stores and appear here to identify the game — each game's rating is the one from the store where it is claimed, kept exactly as it is at the source.

When you click “Claim”, you leave Clairo and the store's terms take over. What happens to the game after the claim — library, region, revocation, requirements — is their rule.

7. Leaving

One click, no login, no questions. The unsubscribe link sits in the footer of every email and always works. Leaving takes effect immediately. To erase the record for good, use the “Your data” link in the same footer, or write to privacy@clairo.gg.

On our side, we may stop sending to an address that attacks the service, that does not belong to whoever signed up, or whose provider refuses delivery permanently. In those cases sending stops; your right to request access or erasure is untouched.

8. Governing law

Clairo is operated from Brazil and these terms follow Brazilian law. That does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live: if you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Canada or the United States, the rights local law gives you still apply, including the right to sue in the courts of your own domicile.

9. How these terms change

These terms are versioned, like the policy. A material change asks for your acceptance again; an editorial change becomes a new version and is recorded in the history at the end of the page. Questions: privacy@clairo.gg.
