Between ingredients foraged in the woods and spells boiled down in the cauldron, every character who wanders into the story leaves that cabin with a sentence already handed down.
A sentence brewed in the cauldron
The witch of the woods hands out verdicts, not advice. Every fairy-tale figure who knocks at the cabin door — each one driven by a whim of their own — walks away judged, and the ruling arrives dressed up as a potion you brew yourself in the cauldron, out of whatever you gathered along the way.
The loop repeats itself: leave the cabin, comb the strange countryside for magical ingredients, head back to the cauldron and stir them into a spell. That back-and-forth between gathering and brewing carries a simulation adventure that Whitethorn Games has published since December 9, 2021 — on computers first, and later on phones too, with iOS and Android versions.
A pace for gathering, not for sprinting
Anyone with a taste for a slower rhythm — gather, experiment, see what comes of it — will happily sink hours into Wytchwood. Anyone after quick reflexes, combat or urgency will find none of it in the cauldron: the tension here sits in the judgment you pass on each character, never in a race against the clock.
