Light vehicles, tanks and helicopters: Caged Element is betting that speed counts as a weapon of war too.

From the front line to the finish line: light vehicles, tanks and helicopters

Speed Freeks takes the war-torn universe of Warhammer 40K and paves it into a racetrack. Instead of wading across the mud on foot, you join the Kult of Speed and take the wheel of light vehicles, tanks and helicopters built for combat, not for comfort. Caged Element developed the game, Wired Productions handled distribution, and the launch landed on 11 June 2026.

Two modes shape the racing. Deff Rally puts 8-on-8 teams on the same track, mixing speed with nerve in a final sprint. Kill Konvoy turns the race into a military operation: each side escorts its own Stompa, a giant machine, and tries to sabotage the enemy's, while timed combat owns the track from start to finish. Racing happens solo, against bots or online with other people, always inside those modes.

A build editor with more than 400 parts lets players design their own tracks and battlefields, alone or in a group, and publish the result for the community to download. The screenshots the store puts up show the vehicles mid-action on wrecked tracks — cannons firing, dust kicked up, cars running wheel to wheel in a bend — never a menu screen.

Who it's for: solo, against bots or with a team

The game delivers the three options it promises: race alone, against bots or online with other people, always inside the same escort-and-sabotage modes. Anyone after a clean lap against the clock, with no other objective anywhere near, runs into the premise: here the race is tied to a second job — protect your own Stompa or bring down your rival's. Anyone who enjoys designing as much as driving gets one more reason in that editor of hundreds of parts, open to solo or group use, with the result published for the community to download.
