A romantic stroll ends with a kidnapping in the girlfriend's basement, and pleasing the people down there may mean wiping them out.

A basement full of people who want things

At the end of the synopsis Steam runs for Chivalry is Dead, a line in parentheses warns that the voice talking there belongs to a character in the game, and that he just wanted you to have that information. The same synopsis had already called itself, with no apology whatsoever, probably the greatest game that has ever existed. That is the register the premise shows up in, half joke and half tall tale: after a romantic stroll with his girlfriend, the hero is kidnapped and taken down into her basement, where he runs into people with all sorts of requests and has to work out what each of them wants, even if that means killing everyone down there. The listing promises multiple endings, plenty of items and secrets that shift with the path you take.

The store tags the game as casual, indie and RPG, and the same account signs both sides of it, development and publishing: FireDuck6607, with no site of its own and no support contact on file. Every sign points to a one-person project. The listing still marks the release as 'Coming Soon', and the minimum requirements field ends with a note from the creator himself, admitting he is not sure what the real specs are, because he tested everything he could think of and the game ran fine each time. With no trailer to play, the official cover art is all the portrait there is of the game short of stepping into it; the screenshots the store publishes are scenes from the game itself.

Built for slow play, not for fast reflexes

Two lines in the listing give the game's pace away: camera comfort, and a note that it can be played without quick reactions. This is a casual RPG made for anyone who wants to poke around a weird basement at their own speed, not for anyone after a reflex challenge or timed combat. The hardware demands are low and so is the disk space, which fits the small, independent project the rest of the listing suggests. Anyone looking for a big studio's stamp, an official site or a polished launch build will not find it here: the store itself still files the game under 'Coming Soon', and stepping in at this stage means stepping into a basement the creator is still testing.
